Caffinequeen here. I am 45, live in the Pacific Northwest (specifically Eastern Washington), and I am passionate about many things.
I am also a FORMER life long Democrat who is now committed to the 50% Solution, a movement to make political parties accountable and willing to listen to the PEOPLE by getting the electorate to reach 50% unnaffilliated or independant voters giving us the majority and more say over the candidates, agendas and issues that make it to the ballot.
Obviously Coffee is one of those things I am passionate about. Hence the name which I adopted back when I first started visiting message boards, blogs and forums. At the time I was working my career (Residential Real Estate) and a part-time job that was actually more like two full time jobs as we had to live on site and therefore were never really off the clock as it were.
I have ALWAYS loved coffee but at that time as in other times in my life it was literally my life’s blood. But, I digress. More discussions about Coffee, my passion for it, my responsibilities etc. will undoubtedly show up from time to time. So if that bothers you skip on past them!
Oh, by the way, YES the misspelling IS intentional for those who wonder or point it out. There IS a reason for it but it is a private joke that would only be funny to those in on it. I’d tell you but then I’d have to kill you. You know how it goes!
I’m also passionate about Music, Politics, Equal Pay, Election Reform, Human Rights, Democracy, Freedom of Speech, Green Power, Green Building, Property Owner’s Rights, Preventing the Abuse of the Power of Eminent Domain, Home Ownership, Gardening, Organics, Preserving the Natural Beauty of Mother Earth, Education, Cooking, Green Remodeling, and many other things.
I write mainly for my own pleasure but also like to exchange ideas with like minded individuals and even those who’s opinions differ drastically from my own as long as they are polite and respectful. It’s all good!
Hey Queen, fellow addict here and Hill fan here, welcome!
I will mark you as another pitstop in the growing list of bookmarks, on this exhausting tour .. Ciao
Nice to hear from a fellow coffee addicted Hillary supporter! LOL! I guess we’ll have to settle for the coffee for the moment…. or will we?
Sorry the caffine wore off long ago and I’m gettting a bit goofy!
I agree about the growing list syndrom. mine grows by the hour sometimes!
Pacific Northwest, eh? Glad to know that not all of Washington has drunk the koolaid….oh yeah, that’s right, only coffee drinkers over here. Coffee flavored coffee!

Yes coffee flavored coffee sounds great! What part of the state are you in?
Hello!
Interesting site. I can’t refrain from mentioning that caffeine is spelled with an “e” before the “i.”
I wonder, though, was your spelling intentional?
Yes I know. It is intentional and I have been using this screenname for about 4 years now. i get reminded about the spelling alot and honestly I am not a good speller but this is a name. You can spell a name any way you want so I did. Oh well enough about that. Thanks for visiting. Hope to see you around here again!

Another coffee adict here. And did you know that one of the few women portrayed in leadership roles on television, Captain Katherine Janeway was also a big coffee fan.
For those not familiar with Star Trek and it’s spin-offs, Captain Janeway was the Captain of the Spaceship Voyager on the program of the same name. In fact Voyager had three extremely strong female characters. Captain Janeway, B’Lanna Torres and of course 7 of 9.
CQ, I share all you passions. I am a passionate composter and believe that much of the problems we have with “garbage” and what to do with it could be solved with composting and the absolute elimination of those damn plastic bags at the checkouts.
I make fabric shopping bags and frequently give them away in order to make my point. Who can resist using a shopping bag that is pretty, strong, and has the owners names embroidered on the front? I’ll take my converts anyway I can get them.
However when I start to talk about composting, most eyes simply glaze over.
There’s always coffee on here! I also love compost but I’m more selfish about it. I love having compost for my garden!
Also a big fan of Janeway. Star Trek was truly one of the first shows where everybody was considered to have equal worth. Even their enemies! Who says you can’t learn from TV?
Great idea on the shopping bags! Nice gift idea/recruiting tool!

Dear Ms. Caffinequeen;
Thanks for sharing your blog and ideas with us all. For the last 12 years or so, I felt that the Democratic Party has been take over by radical socialists, atheists, and people for American defeat, and the “Blame America First crowd.
Bill and Hill Clinton helped convert me into a Conservative Republican. However, since around February of 2008, when Mrs. Clinton began winning the big states, I have watched and gained a new found respect for her, even though I don’t agree with her political stances, and I saw her hard she fought. I too see how the Democratic Party big-wigs contaminated the process, and SELECTED Obama as the nominee. However I must say I was ASTOUNDED when Obama did NOT select Mrs. Clinton for his V.P. pick, and felt this was a colossal blunder.
McCain swiftly ate Barack’s lunch, and has now demonstrated that he made a brilliant political move, and has demonstrated great judgment, and is already delivering change, and reform. Ms. Sarah Palin will become our First Female President Someday, and she brings great knowledge on Energy issues, which will be of great use if she is elected along with John McCain.
In one deft move, McCain has unmasked the fact that the Democratic party is the shadow of it’s former self. Every single liberal policy is coming back to destroy that once great party. We now have our first Affirmative Action nominee, and the better qualified Female white woman “Need Not Apply”.
I believe that because Obama was born a Muslim, his original “cultural programming” kicked in and women need not apply, they are not needed. America will NOT give him the Nuclear Football. I’m voting McCain NOT Hussen. Keep up the fine work Ms. Caffinequeen.
At your service! Seriously I think it’s great that people who weren’t even Hillary supporters during the primary can see what really went on because the DNC leadership and the Obamacrats either can’t see it or don’t care. I am not joining the Republican party by any means but I will vote mccain/Palin because of the choices available that is the only real choice. I cannot help put this fraud in the top job just because the Dems decided they want to look good and pat themselves on the back.
If they want to put a person of color in the white house I’m all for it but for crying out loud pick someone with the qualifications and moral standards higher than a thug! Try picking someone who could actually win and deliver on at least some of their promises!
I think my party forgot that integrity is what you do when nobody’s looking because you know it’s the right thing to do. Thanks for your kind words about Senator Clinton and her determination and strength.
